Expert Therapists, Hand-picked by us

Did you know that the quality of the relationship between you and your therapist is the number one driver of therapeutic change?

Out of all of the factors that contribute to successful therapy, the strength of the therapeutic relationship is the most important. In fact, research found that the quality of the therapeutic relationship contributes more to meeting therapy goals than the type of treatment itself!

Our therapists are unique because they are simultaneously experts in their specialty areas and relatable. As a result, your therapy is collaborative, highly customized to you, and engaging. All of these are essential ingredients for successful therapy.

why we're different

Active Partners in Modernizing Therapy

We co-founded Park Slope Therapy because New Yorkers needed something different out of therapy. We kept hearing the same complaints about our clients’ previous therapy experiences (“My previous therapist was so quiet!” “My old therapist never told me what she was thinking!”). People were coming to us craving something more from therapy. They wanted guidance, collaboration, relatability and transparency.

Our commitment to modernizing therapy means that you have an active therapist who partners with you (and doesn’t just sit in silence saying “mmhmm”!) to collaborate on goals and guide the therapy process. Each therapist was hand-picked by us because of their expert knowledge and commitment to modernizing the therapeutic process.

Become the change agent in your life.

Let’s work together to discover what your feelings are telling you and build a toolbox of skills to guide you long after your therapy is complete.
