EVALUATIONS SPECIALIST

Arielle Wilson, PhD

Office: Brooklyn/Upper East Side/Telehealth | Pronouns: She/Her

My name is Dr. Arielle Wilson (Elle), and I am a licensed clinical psychologist and pediatric neuropsychologist specializing in supporting children and young adults who face cognitive and emotional challenges. Whether providing therapy or conducting comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations, my approach is rooted in curiosity, compassion, and a deep respect for each individual’s unique strengths and experiences.

I have focused my training on administering comprehensive neuropsychological assessments for students, navigating educational systems, and deepening my understanding of child development. I specialize in a wide range of concerns, including ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, neurodevelopmental and learning disabilities, language delays, and intellectual challenges, along with the emotional and behavioral difficulties that often accompany these conditions. My evaluation process combines standardized testing with qualitative insights gathered from parents, teachers, and caregivers to develop a holistic and personalized understanding of each student. In addition to the evaluation process, I offer families ongoing consultation and therapeutic support to ensure that children receive the appropriate services and interventions they need to thrive.

In addition to my focus on neurodevelopmental disorders and assessment work, I have developed specialized skills in providing therapy to children, young adults, and parents. My therapeutic approach draws from behavioral and cognitive-behavioral frameworks, informed by neuropsychology and grounded in evidence-based practices. I work collaboratively with individuals to address a range of concerns, including anxiety, perfectionism, imposter syndrome, and burnout, as well as challenges related to life stressors, transitions, and parenting.

I earned my doctorate and master’s degrees in clinical psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and completed a generalist internship at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Los Angeles. I went on to further specialize in the field by completing a formal two-year postdoctoral fellowship in Pediatric Neuropsychology at the Center for Attention and Learning (CAL) at Lenox Hill Hospital/Northwell Health. My clinical training also spans a wide range of settings across the Chicago metropolitan area, including hospitals, forensic centers, community clinics, public schools, and children’s research programs.
